Sarah Gauger is executive director of Hunt Alternatives Fund, a private foundation that advances innovative and inclusive approaches to social change. She guides the foundation in its operating and grantmaking programs. Ms. Gauger has been involved with The Initiative for Inclusive Security since its inception in 1999 and designed and managed the 2001 Colloquium, the initiative's annual meeting of leading women peace builders. Her involvement with the international community is extensive, and includes coordination of special projects at the US Embassy in Vienna, Austria. There she organized numerous humanitarian initiatives in the Balkans and throughout Central and Eastern Europe, including the "Bosnian Women's Initiative" and "Vital Voices: Women in Democracy." Ms. Gauger is a graduate of Colorado College, with additional studies at the Lueneburg University (Germany) and University of Vienna (Austria).
