The Jerusalem Link

As violence in the Middle East persists, the gulf between Israelis and Palestinians continues to grow. In response to these long-standing, deep divisions, the Jerusalem Link creates common ground to bring Israelis and Palestinians together. The Jerusalem Link is a partnership between Bat Shalom, Israel's national women's peace organization, and the Jerusalem Center for Women, a Palestinian women's organization. Members of these two groups work together to facilitate cross-community dialogue, develop programs for women from both communities, and pressure policy shapers on both sides to commit to a just and lasting peace.

Jerusalem Center for Women
Amneh Daoud Badran is Director of the Jerusalem Center for Women and Co-Chair of the Jerusalem Link. As coordinator of the Center's Jerusalem Unit, Ms. Badran directs numerous projects and activities that focus on conflict resolution, coalition building, non-violent resistance, and human rights.

Sumaya Farhat-Naser is a writer and human rights activist living and working in Jerusalem. Ms. Farhat-Naser founded the Jerusalem Center for Women and co-founded the Jerusalem Link. She is also on the boards of the Arab Thought Forum (Jerusalem), the Arab Studies Society (Jerusalem), and the Global Fund for Women.

Bat Shalom
Terry Greenblatt is Director of Bat Shalom and Co-Chair of the Jerusalem Link. She has been an activist in Israel for the past 20 years and speaks nationally and internationally on multicultural organizing and politics. Ms. Greenblatt is a co-founder of Kol Ha-Isha (The Women's Voice) Feminist Center of Jerusalem and SHANI (Israeli Women Against the Occupation), and sits on the founder's council of the Community School for Women's Studies and Economic Development.

Deborah Lerman is a board member of Bat Shalom and a member of the Jerusalem Link. Ms. Lerman directs numerous projects and activities to promote a just solution to the conflict and a climate of co-existence and respect for human rights. She is also a member of the Executive Committee of Kav La' Oved, an organization dedicated to protecting the rights of all workers in Israel, including Palestinians and foreign migrant workers.
