Luul Ghebreab
During decades of war, Eritrean women shared responsibility and power in both military and civilian life. As the country rebuilds its civil society, the National Union of Eritrean Women works to ensure this equality is not lost. Luul Ghebreab, president of the Union, has spoken before the United Nations General Assembly to highlight the important role of women in building and maintaining a sustainable, equitable peace.
